Terms of Service
Effective date: [date]. These terms are an agreement between you and SaiSoft, the company that runs Platforms (“Platforms”, “we”), of [address], Bangladesh.
1. What we provide
Platforms lets you create and run websites (“sites”) using our themes, editor, hosting and related tools (the “service”). Some features depend on your plan.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian’s permission, and give accurate information.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite to your sites.
- An organisation’s site should be created by someone allowed to act for it.
3. Your content is yours, and your responsibility
- You keep ownership of everything you publish. You give us permission to store, copy, display and deliver it only as needed to run the service.
- Site owners are the publishers of their sites. You are responsible for what appears on your site, including posts by your team, and for having the rights to the words, photos and other material you use.
- News sites must follow the laws of Bangladesh that apply to publishers, including the Cyber Security Act 2023, the Press Council Act 1974 and copyright and defamation law.
- Your content must follow our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. When we may remove content or suspend a site
We may remove content or suspend a site that breaks these terms or the law, puts people or the service at risk, or when we receive a valid order from a court or authority. Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell the owner why and give a chance to respond. Anyone can report a site using the “Report abuse” link at the bottom of every site.
5. Plans and payment
- Paid plans are billed in advance for each month or year, in taka unless we agree otherwise. Prices are shown before you pay.
- If a renewal payment fails, your site moves to the free plan after [number] days. Paid features stop, but your content stays.
- You can cancel at any time and keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are not refunded except where the law requires or we agree.
- We will give at least 30 days’ notice before changing the price of your plan.
6. Custom domains
You are responsible for registering and renewing your own domain. We are not responsible if your domain expires or its DNS records are changed.
7. Leaving
You can export your posts and pages and close your account at any time. After an account is closed we delete its sites and content within [90] days, except what we must keep by law.
8. Our responsibility
We work to keep the service running and your content safe, but we provide it “as is” and cannot promise it will never be interrupted. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For important changes we will tell site owners by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before they apply.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. We will try to resolve any dispute with you directly first. Otherwise, the courts of Dhaka have jurisdiction.
